Backtrajectories from BCO for EUREC4A 20200116_00 to 20200220_21 #================================================================= - calculated with LAGRANTO (Wernli and Davies, 1997, Sprenger and Wernli, 2015) - from the BCO (59.42875 deg W, 13.1626388 deg N) - with 100 starting points between 1000 hPa and 200 hPa (i.e. 1 starting point every 8 hPa) - 3D wind fields from the IFS analysis and 4Dvar outputs (3 hourly data) - ECMWF IFS data on a horizontal grid of 0.2x0.2 deg - to minimise data file size only 82 vertical levels out of 137 (from surface up to 80 hPa, cut out stratosphere) and a limited domain over the North Atlantic was downloaded (120 deg W to 20 deg E and 20 deg S to 70 deg N) -> fast trajectories might stagnate at the domain edges Variables on files: #================ lat in deg N lon in deg E p in hPa BASEDATE at which the trajectory was started We can interpolate many other available model variables along the trajectories, if interested, please contact us.
