Merian - L0.0 VERSION - ====================================================================== General information on data release Level 0 (raw data): --------------------------------------------- These data are raw data of the Halo Photonics Stream Line XR Doppler lidars (DLs) deployed on the R/V Maria S. Merian. There were two DLs installed; one pointing vertical and one performing 6-beam VAD scans. Raw data gives line-of-sight Doppler wind, backscatter and intensity (SNR+1) data and are provided in the native instrumen (hpl) format. Raw data are NOT corrected for ship motions. Data are provided in tar.gz containers for each day. Scan pattern: -------------- DL vertical: DL pointing vertical all the time (Az=0.0 deg, El=90.0 deg), 1 s temporal resolution, 30 m range resolution DL 6-beam VAD: 6 pointing directions (Az=[0.0, 72.0, 144.0, 216.0, 288.0, 0.0], El=[45.0, 45.0, 45.0, 45.0, 45.0, 90.0]), 1 s temporal resolution, 30 m range resolution, for each direction 10 profiles á 1 s are collected, step'n'stare mode.
